About Us

Production Process

Every braided packing follows a controlled process: incoming fiber inspection, twisting, braiding, impregnation, curing, cross-section cutting, testing, and export packaging. Each step is recorded against a batch number, so the finished packing can be traced back to its raw material.

The Eight Production Steps

  1. Incoming Fiber Inspection

Raw fiber is checked for composition, moisture, and visual defects before it enters production. Supplier certificates are matched against the lot number.

Key control: fiber composition and moisture
  2. Twisting

Fiber yarns are twisted to the specified strength and consistency. Twist parameters are recorded for each batch.

Key control: twist level and yarn consistency
  3. Braiding

Yarns are braided into square cross-section packing. Braid density and structure are adjusted to match the application — for example, higher density for valve stems, more flexibility for pump shafts.

Key control: braid density and structure
  4. Impregnation

Graphite, PTFE dispersion, silicone, or custom impregnations are applied. Impregnation weight and curing temperature are recorded.

Key control: impregnation weight and coverage
  5. Curing

The impregnated packing is cured under controlled temperature and time to stabilize the coating and remove volatiles.

Key control: curing temperature and dwell time
  6. Cross-Section Cutting

Finished packing is cut to the requested cross-section size and length. Cut tolerance is checked against the order specification.

Key control: cut tolerance and length accuracy
  7. Testing

Each lot is tested for density, tensile strength, friction, and chemical resistance. Results are recorded in the MTR.

Key control: lot-level test results in MTR
  8. Export Packaging

Packing is labeled with product type, size, batch number, and quantity, then palletized for FOB Ningbo, CIF, or EXW shipment.

Key control: batch labeling and export documentation

Why the Process Matters for Procurement

A braided packing that looks the same on the outside can behave differently if the twist, braid density, or impregnation weight is inconsistent. Our process controls are designed to keep those variables within specification — and to give your quality team the records to verify it.

Send your operating conditions and we will confirm whether a standard grade or a custom impregnation/braid structure is the better fit.
