The cases below show how Kaxite packings performed in specific valve and pump applications. Each case includes the operating conditions, the product selected, and the measurable result. Customer names are anonymized at their request; operating parameters are kept accurate.
Chemical Plant: Valve Leakage on 250 °C Hydrocarbon Duty
Industry: Chemical processing, Germany Equipment: Control valve, 80 mm stem
Operating Conditions
250 °C, 4 MPa, hydrocarbon media
Previous Issue
Packing leakage every 6–8 weeks, frequent retightening
Product Selected
Aramid fiber packing with graphite impregnation
Result
Leakage interval extended to 6 months; retightening frequency reduced
Oil & Gas: High-Pressure Pump Packing in Sour Service
Industry: Oil & gas, UAE Equipment: High-pressure injection pump, 45 mm shaft
Operating Conditions
120 °C, 20 MPa, sour media (NACE MR0175 required)
Previous Issue
Standard PTFE packing extruded under pressure
Product Selected
Graphite PTFE packing with aramid corners, NACE-compliant
Result
Zero leakage over 4-month trial; packing replaced on schedule
Publishing note: the two cases above are structure placeholders. Replace them with real project data — industry, equipment, operating conditions, previous issue, product selected, and measured result — before this page goes live. If a real case cannot be disclosed even in anonymized form, remove that case rather than publishing fabricated parameters.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you share references for an application similar to ours?
Yes. Send the equipment type, operating temperature, pressure, and media, and we will confirm whether a comparable case exists. Where the customer has agreed to be referenced, we can share the industry, region, and application profile; where they have not, we describe the case in anonymized form without naming the company.
Why are customer names anonymized in your case studies?
Most industrial buyers prefer not to be named in a supplier's marketing material. We keep the operating parameters accurate — temperature, pressure, media, equipment type, and measured result — while replacing the customer name with an industry and region. This preserves the technical value of the case without exposing the customer.
Can we run a trial before committing to a bulk order?
Yes. Most case studies on this page started as a trial order rather than a full production run. We can supply a trial quantity, typically from 50 kg per specification, with the same MTR and EN 10204 3.1 documentation as a bulk order, so your team can evaluate performance under real operating conditions.
What happens if the recommended packing does not perform as expected?
Send the operating data and photos of the failed packing, and our engineers will review the failure mode — extrusion, hardening, chemical attack, or installation issue — and recommend an alternative grade or installation change. Case reviews are handled within one business day, the same as initial packing selection.
Have a similar application?
Send your operating conditions and we will recommend a packing based on comparable cases, or arrange a trial order for evaluation.
